What are you regular fridge items?

We get a weekly shop delivered with a meal plan and buy the usual milk, cheese, fruit etc.... but our fridge never really looks full. What items do you have that you buy most weeks to snack on or just different things to have for/with lunch that I might be forgetting.

Our fridge is always full but (a) that's because we have quite a small fridge-freezer not a giant american style one like many do (b) we dedicate a whole shelf to condiments, sauces, chutneys etc Blush . Does it matter that much if your fridge looks a bit empty if you all have enough to eat of the things you like, personally I'd love mine to look a bit more empty, currently a variety of precariously -stacked jars fall out on top of you every time you open the door, and it's really easy to lose things at the back!

I don't snack at all for dietary reasons (cutting out snacking really helped me lose weight) but aside from things for meals our fridge usually has things like milk, soft drinks, fruit juice, eggs, butter, greek yoghurt, cheese, sometimes dips/hummus or sour cream, cold cooked meats (for DH, I am veggie), cheese, sometimes olives or other preserved things like sundried tomatos, jarred peppers in oil. There's usually a half-finished jar or two of something like pesto, curry paste, peri-peri marinade or similar floating around, or some leftovers from a meal waiting to be eaten as a lunch portion for someone. Plus beer/wine and mixers of course! And we get a weekly veg box delivery that always has a selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables. For lunches I frequently make up a big bowl of mixed salad and/or coleslaw, or in winter a big pot of soup which lives in the fridge...

Our typical fridge:

Top shelf: blocks of unsalted butter, leftover takeaway, tub of chicken stock, bottles of tamarind paste and ginger/garlic paste,

Next shelf down: lots of different kinds of cheese, cream cheese parmesan, yoghurt, creme fraiche, two tubs of burrata. Fresh meat on the left - chicken thighs, mince, pancetta, bacon

Next shelf down: more leftovers, roast meat from the sunday roast, a box of cut up veg for the kids to grab, tonic water, sparkling water cans

Bottom shelf just above veg drawer: loads of jars - condiments, olives, capers, jarred artichokes and red peppers, sauerkraut, kimchi, nduja

Veg drawer - full of veg

Door - top shelf chocolate, tomato paste, anchovy paste, cut up lemons. Middle shelf Mayonnaise, jam, random jars. Bottom shelf wine, OJ, milk, Brita filter jug.

I know what you mean. I love the day I've had a food delivery as my fridge looks so full, then a day or two later when all the yogurts have been eaten and the wine drunk, it looks very sad and is just full of half empty jars of condiments
