I have two huge cherry trees and wondered how to get the most out of them??
I am a pretty good cook so am happy to tackle most things, but also am homeschooling two ds at the moment so time is not on my side!
Tia 😊

Have you got a gadget to stone them?
We'd just eat them (are you local??!!).
If you can stone them, jam? Crumble? Pie?
If you cant stone, I think I'd stew, and pick out the stones by hand, and use as icecream topping.

Do you usually get lots of cherries from the trees? I rememeber the birds stealing all of them from the tree we had when I was a child.

Cherry vodka.
Sour cherry vodka.
Cherry brandy.
Sour cherry brandy.
Cherry gin.
Sour cherry gin.

Stone them and put them in small snack bags and freeze them to add to crumbles or pies throughout the year.

Love both of those!!! Has anyone bottles them, or made jam out of them?

This cherry cake with coconut and almonds is lovely and you can use fresh cherries instead of frozen in it.
