what do you do with left-over mashed potatoes?

now invariably I eat them cold, or sometimes fry them up with a little bit of spring onion, but that's norty

something tells me its the basis of other food stuffs

anything spring to mind? (I'm thinking fishcakes for some reason .. but only have prawns in freezer atm)

Oooh i never throw away roast potatoes but i could never eat them cold from the fridge either!!

I just dont do cold potatoes. They are rank and go all horrid!

Agree with all the posters who said fish cakes, which is what I most usually do with mine.
Also you can do veg cakes with them, peas are good as are sweetcorn as they are nice and small. Can use anything you fancy really, and fry them up in patties. There is always bubble and squeak of course, which I guess is the same thing, but you have to have brussel sprouts to make that authentically methinks!
