Golden caster sugar

Would it be ok to use light brown sugar instead of caster sugar in a chocolate traybake?

The colour will be a bit different but that's worked for me as a substitute before

Incidentally, adding a touch of black treacle to white sugar makes it into brown sugar. Obviously add more for darker sugars, less for lighter sugars.

I don't keep every kind of sugar now, just white sugar and treacle.
