Roast beef here...drool

We are! Was wondering what to cook for dinner and then saw lots of meatball threads...

Oh heavens. Roast beef. Can I come. I love roast beef. Are you having Yorkshire pudding. And cabbage?

Do you know what, I am. And this is entirely independent of the meatball threads. DP made a load of Antonio Carluccio's meatballs a couple of weeks ago and they are merrily defrosting as I loll about on the computer.

Roast beef, yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, peas, onion rings and stuffing swamped in gravy (homemade of course). It's a bit of a thing in our household to not have Sunday roasts on Sunday because it's just too depressing for poor dh to be reminded of it being Monday the next day....I kid you not!!!!

No, but the meatball threads did remind me to make them later this week (when I have bought some pork mince that is)

I am unreasonably excited - I can finally use my oven so we having lasagne. We have only had microwave and take aways for 2 weeks so this is VERY exciting. Its still shop bought as I don't have worktops yet but its a step in teh right direction... and it is from waitrose .
