what on earth do you have to perk you up in the mornings? After lunch I can have a can of coke to keep me awake, but I can't face that earlier in the day. I'm starting a new job with a 6am start (!) so seriously in need of a caffeine shot or some sort of energy boost! But yeah, not tea or coffee. Any suggestions?

I gave up caffeine 5 years ago, alcohol 4 years ago and artificial sweeteners 2 years ago....My drinks choices have dwindled!

Why not tea or coffee? Do you just not like the taste?

I've taken pro-plus tablets in the morning to get me moving when needed for energy - is that worth a try?

Thanks everyone! I just order Berocca Boost. Never even heard of it before! I just don't like tea, and coffee makes me feel jittery while still feeling groggy, which is the worst of all worlds!

Anyway, fingers crossed for the Berocca!

If coffee makes you jittery, berocca boost will too so just start with half! I am used to it now so take a whole one but at the beginning it made me feel a bit jaw clenchy! (Cos I don't drink caffeine in tea or coffee). Hope it works for you!

Around 500ml when you first wake up to get your metabolism going.

Maybe hot water and fresh lemon for something different.

I just drink cordial. I don't like the taste of tea or coffee and don't really want to try it now because people become reliant on it.

I drink lemon and ginger tea, it peps you up from the ginger and the lemon is very cleansing.

There are some lovely fruity teas / tisanes in the shops. I thought Berocca had some negative press on the UK?

I pretty much only drink water during the day
Occasional cordial now is roasting hot.
Occasional fruit juice if out and about
Alcohol after the kids are in bed!

To wake me up for an early start I actually have one of those LED daylight lamps (not to eat lol!) Having a bright light in the mornings makes me feel just as wide awake as coffee used to. I'm often up before my alarm because of it. Highly recommend especially if you can grab one secondhand or in a sale.

I'm pregnant & boring and just drink water and milk at the moment.

What about cocoa it's lower in caffeine than coffee and if you make it yourself you can control the sweetness and amount of milk.
