For a socially distant celebration. What would you include?

Any recipes would be especially good.
Thank you

Yes. I am definitely going to need some fizz. for the lucky gits that are not pregnant and can drink it

Any ideas for how present it nicely but stop everything going dry? I am planning on nagging everything up and doing door step drop offs. Sandwiches and scones can be cling filmed but it would damage any decoration on cakes and I don't have loads of tuppawear.

Elderflower cordial topped up fizzy water would be a lovely summery drink for those poor souls who couldn't have alcohol.

I'd do cakes that don't have icing, such as brownies and lemon drizzle. And yes to elderflower cordial, I prefer it to sparkling wine.

I’ve made a few afternoon teas for people over lockdown.....

We did 3 types of sandwiches
Cheese straws
Feta and tomato skewers
Tiny sausage rolls/pork pies

Scones with cream and jam

Mini trifle

Banana cake, macarons, brownie and coffee cake

We did one for my godparents on VE Day, we did ham sandwiches, smoked salmon sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and jam, chocolate brownies and lemon meringue cupcakes.

Brownies, cupcakes and one set of scones and sandwiches were gluten free. First go at the brownies and I was very pleased!!

They sound (and look) amazing. I wish that I could think of a way to make ours look pretty.

@Ouch

Could you borrow a cake stand?

I borrowed one and then put flowers in little vases to make it look fancy.

@Collision
The plan is to meet in the park or a nearby field so I don't think that it would work.

Ok

Instead why don’t you put everything on a big board?

Everything looks fabulous on a board

Dh did a picnic for us for our lockdown anniversary and it looked amazing.
