Chuffed with frugal food this month

Single parent to large eating machine teen, knew this month would be hard for various reasons, all bills paid but food budget tiny. Trying to use what I have with as least expenditure as possible. Had some frozen wonky berries and leftover frozen rhubarb, made berry cordial by simmering fruit with juice and zest of lemon and quarter of the sugar recommended. It's lovely, had loads leftover cooked fruit after straining so made pastry with baking block instead of butter and it made a large pie and 12 small tarts. Cost to me-nothing! Result. Also made a chocolate cake with no eggs and some 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies. Yes I know not the healthiest but these are extras needed to fill the bottomless pit teen up aside from dinners. Finding it extremely satisfying! (And the cordial is better than anything I've bought in the past) Anyone got any frugal filling ideas I can use? Got plain / self raising flour, baking block, tinned tomatoes, onions, small amount of chicken and sausagemeat, potatoes, pasta and rice. Usual store cupboard ingredients, garlic, herbs, stock etc. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Greek lentil soup (you can use your onions, a bit of tomatoe sauce for this).

Pasta with sauce based on canned tomatoes. Just add some mushrooms, onions and oregano.

There's a frugal foodies thread where I think you'll be right at home! :)
