I'd love to make something that's a little squidgy and not too rich, and something relatively easy and quick that doesn't involve a lot of steps but still produces a wonderful cake.

thoughts:

melted chocolate preferred to cocoa powder. I have 70% chocolate.
Prefer nothing involving egg whites (eggs is fine, just don't trust egg whites)

don't have any cream, have milk

have almonds, butter, hazelnuts, flour, sugar, eggs, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, don't have much else?

would like a round cake!

icing yes, er I suppose chocolate buttercream!?

@ShootsFruitAndLeaves, do you replace the cocoa powder in the recipe with melted chocolate? The same weight for the same weight?
