I give mine go my neighbours if I have more after baking and scrambled eggs etc.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 06/05/2020 12:01

If you have a small amount of flour, and some sugar, then I would be going for a Clafoutis.

Octoblock · 06/05/2020 12:02

Oh god these are brilliant ideas, thank you

@P1nkHeartLovesCake
I can’t get them any where. Plenty of flour though 😀🤷‍♀️

TimeWastingButFun · 06/05/2020 12:18

Eggy bread for the kids, tuna niscoise salad and a cake - or maybe a frittata with leftover potatoes, veggies?

ReadilyAvailable · 06/05/2020 12:43

The guardian has an article just for you today, @Octoblock.

Nigellas chocolate orange cake or almond cake both use a lot of eggs but honestly they'll be fine long after their date.

TyneTeas · 06/05/2020 20:32

Lemon curd

Meringues

ekidmxcl · 06/05/2020 20:37

I’d just scramble the lot. My family happily scoff a vat of 12 scrambled eggs.

Millie2013 · 06/05/2020 20:40

Clafoutis (I make meringue with the leftover whites)
Oeufs en cocotte

Millie2013 · 06/05/2020 20:45

Lemon layer/surprise/self saucing pudding

I think I’m reliving my childhood in food now Grin

bumblingbovine49 · 06/05/2020 20:50

DH and I have a vegetable fritata/ omelette for lunch ( using whatever veg we have around) about 2 times a week and I use 5 eggs between us ( we are greedy). That users up 10 for two lunches

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 06/05/2020 20:52

Scotch Eggs!

food of the gods!

mumwon · 06/05/2020 20:55

egg potato & pea curry boil & pickle them (done a bit of research apparently there is Dutch way using spice & beetroot)

CanIGoHomeNowPlease · 06/05/2020 21:00

I made an egg and bacon pie (quiche Lorraine) which we had hot with salad and new pots - depending on the size of your dish that’s a good 6-8 eggs.

I reckon if you don’t have bacon, then cheese and onion would be really yummy!

Chillipeanuts · 06/05/2020 21:06

You can freeze eggs. Crack them into a container. Defrost beautifully.

Newjez · 06/05/2020 21:18

Do you live far from Dominic Cummings?

Tr1skel1on · 06/05/2020 21:30

Lemon curd pavlova?! Oh my goodness, why have I never thought of this before....

I'm always using up eggs, I have 3 hens :)

Tr1skel1on · 06/05/2020 21:32

Thank you @boatyardblues

Bobbiepin · 06/05/2020 21:34

Egg muffins - whisk up with some milk, add cheese/ham/veg etc and pour into a greased muffin tin. Bake for 20 mins, eat hot or cold.

justanotherneighinparadise · 06/05/2020 21:35

I ignore best before dates on eggs as they are their own sterile environment. Do the water test a PP mentioned and don’t panic.

ironicname · 06/05/2020 23:03

If you have potatoes and onions you can make a frittata.
