I used to be one of the I-own-several-but-I-call-them-saucepans-brigade.

Posted too soon.
A friend lent me one, & I was converted.

However, the Morphy Richards one I bought died after a few weeks.
I then bought a top of the range Lakeland machine.
This has now broken & again been returned to Amazon for a full refund.

Any recommendations for along-lasting machine, please?

Just a normal pan!

Ours is Morphy Richards, just the basic one. Had it about 2 years, in use 2-3 times a week with no issues. Perhaps you have been unlucky.

I recently bought this Morphy Richards soup maker and very happy with it-don't always sauté ingredients if I'm in a hurry.

It's so quick and easy to use -much quicker than job and blender so making soup a lot more often

Also very happy with how quick and easy it is to clean-always a bonus

Try Drew and Cole

I had the same problem with my Murphy Richards dying after a few weeks. Replaced it with a drew and Cole and it is so much better. I’ve been using it twice a week since lockdown. Lovely smooth soup every Time and It doesn’t seem to object to a small amount of vegetables the way my morph Richards did. French onion soup planned for the next time I make soup

See I'm the opposite.

I wanted one for ages, got one and didn't really get the point of it. It doesn't peel or chop anything for me and I tend to simmer soups for 30 minutes unsupervised anyway so it's just as much effort.. So I'm back in the pot and hand blender camp 🤣

Although now wondering if it's because it was a Morphy Richards!
