Everything burning.. Please help!!

So like everybody else in the world right now, I'm baking! But everything I need to cook in the oven is just burning on the outside and not cooking in the middle. Have tried 2 types of bread and scones but all doing the same.
Have followed the recipes and correct oven temps, always pre-heat the oven before I start so I don't no where I am going wrong. Sometimes I am leaving things in twice as long as I should be and they are well overdone on the outside and still not quite there in the middle.. Any advice?

Turn your oven down maybe. Cover with foil if it starts to go too dark on the top

Is it a gas or electric oven?

Yes it's a fan assisted oven. Never really been a Baker so this is all new to me (: will try covering for a bit and see if that helps x

Do you always use the same oven shelf?
Ours is a Neff and when the fan is on, shelf 2 doesn't work. It was in the instructions - I used it by mistake and had problems like yours.

Turn your oven down, get a thermometer for it if you can to check it's actual temperature.

Normally need to reduce the temperature by 20 degrees if you're using the fan.

Same problem with my fan oven. I turned down the temperature by approx 15 degrees less than the temperature stated in the recipe (fan temp) and used the shelf one down from the middle one. Things work out OK now

Yep same here, if a recipe says I need to bake at 180 degrees I need to bake at 160 on fan assisted or else it burns on top.
