Can someone please recommend a simple recipe for gluten free bread in a bread machine or a gluten free bread mix that's good in a machine.

I figure that if there is only one professionally made bread I like (Warburton tiger bread) that the chances of me being able to make one at home are fairly slim, so slumming it on homemade cheese/ plain/ fruit scones instead.

I’ll go look in my book. Be back in a min.

Doves farm has recipes on its website including a simple white loaf.

Homemade gluten free bread is never as good as the shop bought I'm afraid. Generally goes stale quite quickly and is quite crumbly and fragile. Can be a bit cakey too.

But if you can't get to the shop use the recipe provided by whatever brand of flour you're using. Juvela have a good recipe as do dove's farm.

I wouldn't bother with a bread maker though as you don't need to knead gf dough, it's way too sticky, so just mix it, put it into the run and leave it to rise, then bake. Dead easy really.

Bread freezes really well though. So if you slice it then freeze it you don’t have to worry about it going stale quickly.

I recently found a great Gluten Free bread mix online that is so easy to make. No bread maker required. The bread tasted really good and the instructions were easy to follow. Not at all dry and crumbly - made great sandwiches. Loved that I could order it online and get it delivered to the door too. Link to the website.
