DF is in lockdown in a Care home. I've been sending him books and treats through the post. Today he was wistfully telling me that he misses chocolate gingers. Thorntons aren't taking orders, any ideas? Thank you.

Can you not get those border biscuits from
ASDA/Tesco then post them to him?

Hazelnutlatteplease · 06/04/2020 12:42

I knows its more of a fiddle but....

Theres local corona support facebook pages cropping up all over tge place. Our one keeps a list of local businesses delivering including a chocolate shop.

Or google the nearest sweet shop and see if they answer the phone. Then youd be supporting a local business too

mustyDuck · 06/04/2020 12:46

@Hazelnutlatteplease. That is such a good idea.
I'm always sending things to him and will do next time.

Avoiding the supermarkets and PO's as much as possible as HCP.

I can recommend Creightons Chocolaterie. My favourite is their 'Jaffa Snaffler', but they have a real range of flavours. Some nice gift box options too.
