I've got my fingers and toes crossed that they've still got them in Lidl; I tried a friend of mines version years ago and can still remember how absolutley delicious it was but for the life of me I can't remember what was in it!

Hot Horseradish Sauce

250ml white sauce, made with milk or half milk and half white stock
2 x 15ml spoons grated horseradish
1 x 5ml spoon vinegar
1 x 2.5ml spoon sugar

Heat the sauce, if necessary. Add the horse radish, vinegar and sugar and stir well. Serve with beef, trout, mackeral or herring.
