Pork loin chops

Can anyone give me suggestions on how to cook pork loin chops please? I bought a meat hamper which included these and I've never cooked pork before (other than pulled pork in the slow cooker)

I always imagine pork chops to be dry and miserable but I don't want these to go to waste so any tips and advice would be great.

It’s cheap meat so I wouldn’t worry to much if you don’t get it 100% right

Id put it in a covered roasting tin, with butter and salt and pepper, for 20 minutes on 180. With spuds and nice veg and gravy.

Tenderise them (wallop with a rolling pin) and brush with olive oil, season, pan fry for about 6 mins per side

Chicken seasoning, chop fresh garlic and red, green and yellow peppers , add a little oil.
Leave to marinate overnight in a plastic bowl.
Cook in the oven for about an hour
Serve with mashed potatoes , vegetables and gravy

Temp about 180

Is this the same as pork loin steaks?

If so, yesterday DH cooked the meat on a tray in the oven. He served with veg etc pretty much like a roast but I made a creamy mushroom sauce with bacon to pour over the pork.
For me it made the meat nicer.

Pork is dry. I don't know how to get the best of it tbh, but I really enjoyed it along with the sauce.

Here's how I made the sauce. Dead easy :)

Fry chopped bacon in a pan.
Add 2 cloves garlic.
Add chestnut mushrooms (chopped)
Add a dash of water if it's all too dry.
Then when the mushrooms are colouring, pour double cream into the pan until it reduces slightly.

Pour over pork - or any meat and you've got a nice tasty meal

@TrebleBadger yes it says loin steaks on the label. Sounds like a sauce is in order yours sounds lovely

• cut the meat off and make a pork stir-fry
• marinade the chops in an Asian flavour (soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic) the grill. Ideally marinade overnight, but a few hours is fine too.
• sprinkle on powdered garlic and grill

Ensure its cooked through, and not bloody or pink.

Serve with apple sauce and veg or a salad

2 tablespoons of ketchup, one tablespoon of honey and one of soy sauce. Dip meat in and grill 6 minutes each side on high heat x

Honestly it's such a tasty sauce, and with the mushrooms and bacon it's also quite filling. If you give it a go please come back and let me know how you got on.

Try it over your pork along with some gnocchi

I don't (or can't) cook very well so that's the best idea I can come up with :)

It's a bit dry, I stuck mine together, back into a roasting joint. Best ever.

I lined them up as if they'd never been cut apart, held them against the side of the tin with potatoes apples and onions. Smeared the fat side with whole grain mustard. Roast.

Thinly slice some potatoes, layer up in a casserole dish with fried onions, salt and pepper, pop the chops on top and bake for about an hour. I’d the chops are thin bake the spuds and onions covered with foils for thirty mins first. As the pork cooks the stock seeps into the potatoes and it’s yum!
