I'm very lucky as I have been given a bag of flour and a packet of yeast to use in my bread machine. But really don't want to waste my precious flour so had anyone ever used this yeast before ? It's called Fermipan red ?

For info a am using a Panasonic bread machine.

Yes, I used to use it all the time. It's good stuff. Put the bulk of it in the freezer and keep a small amount on the kitchen shelf.

I have bought some of this today as it was the only yeast I could find anywhere - DH viewed it with great suspicion but when I looked at online reviews they're all really good. So I"m hopeful e"LL get good results (if I can find more bread flour!)

I purchased Fermipan for my Panasonic bread machine I am using the same quantity as with other yeasts like Allinson's Easybake i e two teaspoons however the bread is not rising sufficiently. Any recommendations please?

I use it in my Panasonic and it's fine. Haven't had to use more that any other yeast interestingly.

Just to add, fresh yeast is back in stock online, I like using that most of all.

Have you had any luck yet?? I have a 500gram pack of Fermipan Red & also a Panasonic bread maker and just cannot make either a loaf or a decent batch of dough! Thanks.

I used to be a high street baker and Fermipan is fantastic, I also have a Panasonic bread machine which I use to make the dough (which it does a great job of).

You are lucky to have Fermipan, you can not get it for love or money at the moment.

Fermipan is exceptional for making pizza bases. Do you have pizza flour?

If anyone is struggling to find fermipan, it's available on ebay and Amazon

Arthuralanalfie · 06/05/2020 10:49

I also have the fermipan. And the Panasonic breadmaker, do I just add it to the pan first with all other dry ingredients on top then water like the easy bake please or mix in with the flour
