Live yeast

DH managed to get some live yeast this morning. Can I use this in the breadmaker? If so I assume I add it with the water, after the dry ingredients?
Also how much to add per 500g loaf?

I have found a Jamie Oliver recipe which says 30gm live yeast to 1kg flour. You could work back from that. Although I now make by hand, I recollect that you put the water in to a bread machine first, then the dried ingredients afterwards. So long as the yeast doesn't touch the salt you will be OK, so I would suggest water and yeast, then flour, then salt.

Just an update that 15g of live yeast to 500g of strong flour has produced superb results
Thanks @4merlyknownasSHD Smile
