Sicilian green olives- what on earth can I do with them?

Right, completely unnecessary to the world, but I've acquired a pot of green olives, that I'm not keen on. I like black olives, I can probably slice a few of these onto a pizza... but anyone got an idea for something delicious in the way of a main meal?

Our local private supermarket (not UK!), has added an Express box to its online delivery. It's amazing. I couldn't get out for food, and this arrived in two days... they tell you there'll be this much meat, some kind of eggs, some kind of milk etc. Etc., and a ton of fruit and veg.. but you can't specify.

3 huge boxes of food, and the olives are the only thing I'm a bit meh about. Oh, and giant couscousEnvy

Diced with lemon butter spaghetti
With feta or ricotta cheese as stuffing for puff pastry triangles
Olives, tomatoes and cod bake
Tofu blended with chopped olives as a dip or sandwich filler
Olive and chicken or pork meatballs with giant couscous salad
Olive kebabs
Greek salad with the olives
As snack with martini or whatever booze

Always good added to a Moroccan tagline.

Slice them into rings and add to a simple tomato pasta sauce (not bolognaise).

BlackForestCake · 27/03/2020 18:35

Put them in a martini, obviously

lborgia · 28/03/2020 07:00

@BlackForestCake - that would be about 12 martinis in a weekWink

God we add olives to loads of things, I stockpiled them before brexit. Beef Ragout, pasta with a tomato and pepper sauce, pizza, just as a snack, tapenade. So good for adding a depth of flavour to savoury dishes.

lborgia · 29/03/2020 13:05

Yes, I know how they workHmm I just happen to really like black ones, and not really like green ones, so was looking for some inspiration. Thanks for Moroccan ideas, they're good too.

Make a tapenade? Will keep for ages and nice on crackers or toast; topping fish or chicken

Aufgehts · 29/03/2020 22:46

Definitely in a pasta sauce. Green olives go beautifully with tomato, garlic and lemon/citrus flavours. Maybe add a bit of chilli for a kick.

NChangeForNoReason · 29/03/2020 22:52

Make bread and pop them in that?
