I was going to make an Upside Down Pudding, but it's what I always do and I fancy a change.

What can I make with the same basic ingredients? Other than fruit crumble, which is not popular ATM. I have tinned fruit and all standard cake-making stuff.

if you have got a couple of lemons, try Lemon Surprise pudding, it is a light sponge with a lemon sauce underneath, what used to be called a self-saucing pudding as it is all mixed together then separates during cooking.

I have tinned fruit: peaches, pears and pineapple. No fresh lemons.

Sounds good though. Shall put fresh lemons on the shopping list. Can it be done with other fruit?

For the peaches:

It could work with oranges, but I've always done the lemon version.

Tinned pears would make Pear Belle Helene, with chocolate sauce (bought or home made) and vanilla ice cream, if you had them available.

Mmmm peach clafoutis...

My DM use to make the most heavenly plum clafoutis. Sweet cake and tangy plums. Fond memories.
