Microwave recipes?

Hi all,

We're currently having our house renovated and have no kitchen for the next 6 weeks. We did some batch cooking before it started, but that's mainly gone now. We only have a microwave to work with now (slow cooker has gone walkabout and I cant find it anywhere in amongst all the chaos!)

Does anyone have any microwave recipes for main meal please? We've mainly been doing potatoes and tuna mayo, but I'd love to branch out!

Thanks very much in advance Smile

I'd get another slow cooker if it was me. Cheap & cheerful from Tesco, Argos etc (under £20) for main dish, & do veg & carb in in the MW.

Or, big splash out on an Instant Pot

You can do pretty much anything in a microwave:

Stews, casseroles, curries & chilli
Carbs can all be cooked in them with slight differences.
Cakes and puddings

Does this help?

If you have the money I’d recommend this www.lakeland.co.uk/26373/Lekue-Microwave-Grill-for-Toasted-Sandwiches-and-More

and an actifry/air fryer and get the basket attachment from amazon. You can then cook chips, sausages, fish fingers, chicken, chicken nuggets, stir fry and loads more in the actifry and the grill is great for hot sandwiches, steak, pork chops, chicken, fish and probably more.

Also in the range you can buy so many microwave gadgets like a bacon grill which is about £2 and a thing that makes omelettes, another that does poached eggs etc.

Also not microwave but toastier bags are also very useful you can make more than toasties in them.

Waffles - sweet and savoury

Fish fingers/vegetable fingers

Burger patties

Pasties and sausage rolls - I'm veggie but I do my cheesy bean pasties and cheese and onion rolls in the bag in the toaster and they come out perfect

Onion rings

Chicken nuggets

Bacon
