Unopened bag of couscous BB Dec 2018 - would you use?

Having. A kitchen cupboard sort out, found an unopened bag of couscous best before Dec 2018. I can't imagine why it wouldn't be ok to use? Anyone any thoughts on this please?

Sniff test. Should be fine.

Not today but I’d keep it for two months time when there’s nothing left in the shops.

It’ll be fine unless it smells mouldy/acrid, no reason why it’d go off. If it’d been in a glass storage jar you’d have had no idea of the date!

Yes of course. Add it to your stash for emergency use if you don't want to eat it now. It'll be fine.

I wouldn't use it. I used some last weekend with a best before date of Oct 2018 and it tasted really fusty.

Was thinking this today about some cereal (Cheerios) that I hadn’t realised had passed their best before of 10/2019.
Tbh as another poster has said we are in seemingly desperate time’s for shopping atm so might be worth a try at least

Unless its that abomination that is giant couscous, bin which case I would make a rocket and fill said rocket with said giant couscous and fire it into outer space. Because it is nasty stuff
