Started to defrost mince, changed my mind but noticed the packet is broken

I put the packet in a bowl of water then half an hour later, I remembered I had some leftovers instead. Thought I'd put the mince in the fridge until tomorrow, but the corner of the plastic cover is broken and water has seeped in. The mince has partially defrosted (around the edges)

Wil it be ok in the fridge until tomorrow or is it best to cook now? Or not at all? I have wrapped the whole packet in cellophane but unsure if that will make a difference, now that it hasn't been airtight for atleast half an hour, and water has gone in.

Unless it was fetid swamp water it will be absolutely fine.

If you're worried, you could cook it off quickly in a hot pan tonight and use the already-cooked mince in your recipe tomorrow.

Definitely not swamp waterGrin. I will probably give it a quick fry then, as it looks a bit pale

Thanks
