Treating myself to some new cookbooks. Wondering which of these people would recommend?

I bought express second hand from amazon. Could you do that and get both?

I like to borrow from the library before deciding what to buy.
Or look through them in a bookshop.
So many books have lots of recipes that I will never use - e.g. puds & desserts as I don't have a sweet tooth.

I really like kitchen, a huge variety of recipes, tbf I don't have express though.
It also depends in what you want to use it for?

MelanieFrontage · 07/03/2020 23:38

What sort of meals are you wanting to cook?

Todayisanewday75 · 08/03/2020 08:47

A lot more variety in Kitchen but Express has meals you can easily get on the table in under half an hour so depends what you’re looking for. Not helpful but I use both quite often.

The only Nigella book I use is Nigella Bites, one of her earlier ones.

I don't have express it didn't appeal to me for some reason but kitchen has recipes in it I've done so many times I know them by heart. Yes a few of those are cakes but some family meals and things I'd cook for guests. The Swedish Summer cake and the jerk chicken for example.

Thanks everyone :) decided to buy them both second hand so they were only a few quid each. Speed is normally the name of the game, but I'm on mat leave at the moment so enjoying trying some new things that take a bit more time.
