Black pepper and some herbs perhaps? Wouldn't worry though , the chicken ratatouille (sp) sounds like it will have lots of flavour.

witchandchips · 06/09/2007 16:02

what about salt, a mix of spice seeds (corinder, cumin etc) and black pepper?

Nbg · 06/09/2007 16:06

yeah might just throw a load of herbs and bits in.

am hoping there will be some juice from the ratatouille.

If it says add liquid, then you'll need to chuck some water in as well. I guess you already though of that though, in which case, sorry!

nbg, if its the chicken ratatouille recipe I linked, there wasnt much juice when it had finished cooking,

Nbg · 07/09/2007 09:25

Well I made a really weak chicken gravy but it only required me to boil the sliced potatoes in it for 2 mins.
They turned out really yummy.

Greatauntie, yes it was the recipe you linked
It was gorgeous, I really enjoyed it. The only problem I had was that I used chicken thighs and it left alot of fat but mixed in with the juices of the veg, it was divine
Good job I bought a crusty loaf to mop it all up with!
