My child won't eat my home cooked version but loves the school lunch version. Anyone work for caterlink and able to tell me how to cook it their way? Smile

You could try swapping ingredients, e.g. cheap & nasty margarine for butter, cheapest cheese, etc, LOL

I can give you the link to the receipt my council uses (in Scotland). It contains dried milk powder so not something I would replicate at home.

It might just be because all their friends are eating it too, not because they like it better!

ivykaty44 · 01/03/2020 12:47

It could be that the school catering put /insert more cheese “flavour”

Use mustard powder and stronger cheese?

Try the (grim) tinned version?

canihaveacoffeeplease · 01/03/2020 23:53

Concerning that a school recipe can't spell broccoli correctly...Grin

Child rightly has no time at all for the grim tin version and can detect and reject mustard at almost homeopathic levels.

@Lucked thanks! That's very similar to my usual recipe except with butter and whole milk. I might be using too much strong cheese though, maybe that's the difference.

Did you ever work out the recipe? My son is exactly the same and found this thread whilst googling the Caterlink recipe 😄
