Use by dates

I have anxiety that is generally kept under control but when I’m stressed it can flare up. So I’m asking for reassurance that some supermarket fresh soup I bought almost 2 weeks ago, kept in the fridge and is still within its use by date, is still safe to eat..? I’m assuming it is..? (Apologies for the anxiety wobble)

If its within its date then yes it's fine. You could even find the same dated stuff still on the shelf in the shop

I kept telling myself that but needed to hear it from a sensible person... thank you for replying, I really appreciate it.

Yes it will be fine. Lovely and warming for a cold winter day. Which soup is it (nosy)? Smile

Ooooh lovely. I hope you've got some crusty bread to dunk. Enjoy!

It wouldn't be ok to use if you'd, for example, opened it and eaten some then left the rest in the fridge for 2 weeks.
But if the soup is in the same condition as when you bought it, ie unopened, it's just the same as the other cartons still in the supermarket as Denentedpixie says up thread ^
