Freezing raw mince then freezing again once cooked?

Is this possible?

If I freeze mince raw, then cook in something like a bolognese, can I then freeze that bolognese?

Hope that makes sense

yes that's ok. provided it's cooled down quickly once cooked.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 24/02/2020 15:59

Yes it's fine, cook it as soon as it's de frosted though.

pjmask · 24/02/2020 15:59

Absolutely fine, do it all the time

I've been doing it for years and I've not poisoned myself yet. My understanding was as long as you've cooked it in between, you can refreeze.

DramaAlpaca · 24/02/2020 23:20

Yes you can, it's perfectly safe. That's how you do batch cooking.

Bluesheep8 · 27/02/2020 13:33

Yep, as a pp said, can't batch cook without doing that

Happygirl79 · 27/02/2020 13:44

Of course you can
How do you think those ready meals you buy in the supermarket to reheat in the microwave get cooked?
