Supermarket chicken sooooo much nicer than mine !

Why does the supermarket cooked chicken breasts taste so much nicer than home cooked ones?
I buy 4 cooked breasts from ASDA and they are delicious but they are £4.50
I cook my own at home and they are nice enough but not as nice as the “shop” ones
I have grilled, fried, roasted, poached and griddled them
I have marinaded
I have seasoned
I have tried everything I can think of
I am annoyed

Any words of wisdom out there?

they are probably formed meat that has seasoning, aka salt, throughout.
you could possibly brine it before cooking?

They’ve probably got glucose in them.

Not quite the question you asked but I find thighs so much tastier than breasts. You can buy thigh fillets if you don't want chicken with bones

I think they have a lot of sugar in them . They are a lot nicer for sure !
