Celery and peanut butter!

Marmite and peanut butter (or any nut butter) on toast

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 05/02/2020 18:28

Tuna mayonnaise and banana sandwiches, they're my favourite. Hardly anyone will agree to try it, which is fine I respect other people's food choices, but of those who do take a bite most are surprised by how tasty it is.

Peanut butter, raspberry jam and chilli cheese sandwiches.

Synecdoche · 05/02/2020 18:31

Salted tortilla chips dipped in stewed apple... Or jam Grin

BentNeckLady · 05/02/2020 18:31

Pesto and jacket potato!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 05/02/2020 18:34

Also my favourite pasta dish. Chop courgette into matchsticks. Fry gently in olive oil until soft. Chop left over black pudding into small cubes (it has to be left over as if you use fresh it will turn into mush and not stay in cubes). Add to the courgette and fry for a few more seconds to heat through. Season. Stir into any pasta.

This also works with finely chopped red chilis as well as or instead of the black pudding. The chilis need to be added at the same time as the courgette to cook through.

I have rediscovered the wonder of a buttered weetabix. It was my go to breakfast as a child. 2 (or now I can manage 3) .. real butter that's nice and cold. Essential is a nice big cup of tea. Mmm

Crumpets with (proper, salted) butter and Bovril.

Beautyoftheirdreams · 05/02/2020 19:47

@EthelMayFergus I agree with you there. I had that for breakfast all last week, I've had to stop myself buying any more crumpets. Bovril is very under rated

tanqueray10 · 05/02/2020 19:50

My partner makes tuna rice with sweet corn and soy sauce. It was something his mum used to make when they didn’t have very much money but it’s lovely and filling!

Something I learned in Mauritius, curry goes really well with crusty baguettes.

Tortilla chips dipped in humus.
