Hi all,
am planning on making Jamie Oliver's orange marmalade gammon joint today but have only bought a joint half the size of the original recipe. Help me with adjusting the boiling and roasing times please..

for the original recipe, the boiling time is 75 mins and the roasting time is about 80 mins...

help, please!

i would reduce the time by half if the joint is half the size

check it after this time and if it needs more cookng then whack it back in the oven

if it looks like it is getting too well done if you need to put in back in, just put some foil over the top

ok, thank you!

it just sounded too easy... half the weight equals roughly half the cooking time.. but I guess it's better to have to pop it back in that overcooking it!

Agree with RS - Just half cooking time, and check it then, and if needs doing or that little bit of overdoing wrap in foil (is what i do)
