Helloe all
Well i had the midwife here today as i feel like s**t! I am eating healthily and eat lots of brocolli and red meat and spinache.
Because she was worried i look so pale she took blood.

SO, has anyone got any super healthy food recipies to make me feel on top of the world?

Angeliz - my midwife when I had DD told me that some women go so super healthy with their diet when they are pregnant and then wonder why they feel shite - its because they aren't getting enough essential fats or sugar!!

I have used this excuse to eat 2 mint cornettos just now and I feel fine!!

Make sure you have lots of vitamin C (such as orange juice) because that aids iron uptake.

Twinkie - I think this pregnancy I went the other way and have eaten so much rubbish. Its not suprising my thighs are so fat - bring on the breast feeding!

do you eat many grains. they will give you lots of sustenance. Quinoa is excellent as is of course porridge, millet, linseed. Buy the baby millet as it easy to cook and you can use it like flour in many meals as a thickener. I made fritters today using millet and they were fab. Flax seed is very healthy, mung beans.

You can toast the linseed or wheat in a fry pan on medium temp for about 15 mins and eat them with some tangy cheese perhaps. Healthy snack and very tasty
