What else can buttercream be used for?

I miscalculated and have a lot of leftover white chocolate buttercream.

Obviously, I could just bake more cakes, but I wonder... is there anything else I could do with it?

Apart from cake pops. None of my family like cake pops.

Send it to meeeee! Grin

Seriously though, just make more cakes. It might be ok to freeze until needed if you don't bake very frequently.

Grouting? (Hate white chocolate!)

ThePurpleMoose · 27/01/2020 08:24

Sorry no new ideas, but you can freeze it for another time Smile

Put it on biscuits, yum!

Freeze it, either in a cake (my preference, it never beats up properly, imo, after freezing), or just as it. Frozen slices if cake, warmed up in the microwave, with icecream.

It is reasonably stable in the fridge for a week or 2.

Never know it for anything other than cakes tho.

I had a load left last autumn and froze it, then used it at Xmas. It was fine.

if you think about it buttercream is basically a eggless cookie dough mix. so make cookies and add the egg back in.i saw shooting stars when someone told me this lol.genious.
heres a recipe so you can adapt with what you have im sure.

Add eggs & flour to make cookies - genius.

Chocolate buttercream does not beat up well after freezing because the cacao fat gets too hard.

Mind you, I have teenagers. I'll probably get back home and find it's all gone because they've channelled Yecartmannew Grin

Another vote for freezing it, I always do that, makes cakes so much quicker if you have it already!
