So I’ve made some pizza dough...

Just pondering toppings.

Mushroom, onion (loads of) cheese, green peppers and jalapeños for me
Plain old Margarita for DS (with some of my jalapeños picked off mine)
Loads of veg, olives and anchovies for DH

I’m nosey - what’s your favourite pizza topping (doesn’t need to be home made).

And no,🍍 has no place on a 🍕 (nor does 🥑)

Fully loaded in our house; mozzarella, Italian salami, peppers, mushrooms, red onions. Sometimes an egg cracked on top, sometimes a handful of rocket or asparagus from the garden. DH likes a sliced chilli.

I like chicken, peppers, red onion, jalapeños, sometimes some sweetcorn.

Or just pepperoni on a big, greasy, deep-pan pizza dripping with cheese.

Tomato base with mozarella and salami, chilli and honey. Or the same with njuja sausage too.
Pumpkin puree + nduja and mozarella
White pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil, Parmesan and mozarella

Pancetta, mascarpone, cherry tomatotoes, caramelized onions and fresh rocket, tomato sauce and mozzarella

Prosciutto and rocket for me please on a lovely thin base.

Where do we stand with olives? I like green olives - but not ‘cooked’. Not too sure about sweet corn on a pizza either.

If I order from the chippie I have chicken Kiev.

If I order from Dominos I have pepperoni.

If I make at home i have Parma ham, mozzarella, black olives and rocket.

My belly is rumbling now! I have chopped all the ‘elements’ put them into little bowls for my pizza production line (will also make an ‘everything on top’ one for MIL). I have also ferreted out some leeks but I’m not convinced.

Oh and I had the pasta in pizza express - bleugh.

Black olives thinly sliced may go on a pizza, green olives belong in the bin.

Pizza Express did a limited edition one a few years back, I love it and this is always my favourite:

Gorgonzola, caramelised leeks, artichokes, pancetta, rosemary and chilli flakes. A bit poncy but bloody gorgeous.

I love home made pizza my favourite is:
Tomato base
Anchovies
Black olives
Capers
Mixed herbs
Mozzarella

I’m sure pizza express had Brussel sprouts on a pizza a couple of Christmases ago (mmmmm)

Aside from margarita, I like olives (black and green) and anchovies or leftover Bolognese with a tonne of extra cheese.

DS1 pepperoni and peppers
DS2 chicken and chorizo
DS3 pineapple and black olive

I alway lump basil on it. I don’t know why because I don’t actually like basil and always pick it off and give it to DH.

Tonight I may revel and just cut out the middle woman and just lump it all on his.

Not an answer to your question, but DS recently made pizza- he proved the dough for 3 days!

I was dubious, but the pizza base was totally amazing- quite a revelation.

You can do a long prove if it’s in a cool place. Mine has been in the fridge since yesterday.

I discovered the delight of fiorentina pizza- egg and spinach but only if someone else makes it. Otherwise pepperoni and jalapeños. Or anchovies and tuna - I have a lovely memory of a local pizzeria in Spain that made that.

How do you all roll out the dough? I can't do the throwing thing and a rolling pin squishes all the air out.

I just shape it with my hands - rolling it into a round ball then pressing it with my fingers. I wouldn’t dare throwing it!

onions, peppers, olives, chillies. Sometimes anchovies, capers, artichoke hearts and/or sun dried tomatoes. Definitely no cheese except mozzarella.
