I am in the southern hemisphere so we have just gone back to school for the new year. I now have 2 boys in primary doing afterschool sport so am looking for ideas for things I can batch cook and freeze and then chuck in the oven when we get home so they can cook while we do homework, or tray bake type things that will be quick to prepare.
I already make bolognese and pasta bakes which are popular but getting boring. I also love cooking casseroles and pies but the youngest isn't too keen on meat and veg in gravy. I'm a decent home cook and enjoy cooking but have got into a rut and we're all a bit bored. Any vegetarian ideas would also be great, I am cutting down my meat intake but haven't convinced the rest of the family yet and don't want to cook twice too often.

Chickpea tagine. Quick to heat up in a saucepan or microwave and best served with couscous which takes no longer than 10 minutes to prepare. It keeps for a while in the fridge (flavours actually improve over time) and leftovers can be frozen. It can be made meaty with lamb meatballs or leftover roast chicken www.olivemagazine.com/recipes/healthy/moroccan-veg-and-chickpea-tagine/
