Friends making the perfect Sunday lunch - what's your favourite?

I just went to my gay friends for Sunday lunch. My teen DS17 stayed home revising - later I will make him rack of lamb, sauté potatoes and broccolli. He certainly wouldn't have wanted to be there!

So how yummy is this? My friends made me creevettes with lemon. Then roast chicken, roast potatoes, celeriac, carrotts and roast potatoes, gravy and bread sauce, followed by baked apples and cream. Totally delicious, accompanied by lots of lovely wine and even nicer because home cooked by friends.

Yum yum. What's your nicest not a big deal everyday meal cooked by friends?

Gay friends or hetero friends?

Why did we need to know your friends sexual preference? Grin

Its not relevant what their sexuality is at all. I don't often get invited for sunday lunch since getting divorced 12 years ago. I think I've been invited 3 or 4 times! It used to be quite a regular occurrence when I was married and we went en famille. Yesterday I went on my own as I don't have a partner and left my DS17 at home and we had jolly japes drinking fizz and eating fine food. So it wasn't a nomal family-ish get together. Pardon me for breathing and being happy!
