I have a dear friend visiting for the weekend. Please help me find some sweet tea treats for her. I am ok for meals but any suggestions for canape type snacks welcome too. Preferably veggie but fish and chicken ok too.

Oh bless you, no ones ever gone to those lengths for me.

Oh Ricekrispie that is so brilliant, thank you. I am going to make the Choc cake and Macaroons. I don't think I can do the deglutened oats. This makes me so happy.

Aw Fluffy I hope somebody treats you soon.

I’ve made rice pudding with coconut milk too.

Thanks op, someone got me milk chocolate at Christmas 🙄 third year running.

We had a really lovely tea with that cake, shortbread and rocky road amongst other things. Thank you for your help.

To add, my friend is recently arrived in the UK and it was really useful for her to discover the Sainsburys range. So thanks for that too.

Is it asking too much that all their items stop using palm oil too? I suppose their customers for this are a pretty captive audience and wider feelings about this will effect change eventually. Then again gluten-free stuff is expensive and I can see keeping costs down is valuable too.

Can you tell I've been pondering this? But I actually think these foods need to be provided at the same price as the regular ones. So subsidised in some way I guess by a tiny increase of the regular stuff. Or a food benefit payment to those needing these foods as I guess they currently don't receive help unless there are other conditions.
