It’s for a postponed Christmas dinner with friends, the full works. I’m wondering about making chicken liver pate. But any suggestions welcomed.

Hummus and guacamole dips, etc.

Go retro with Parma ham and melon! Easily transported and plated at destination.

An orange and fennel salad: www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/fennel-and-orange-salad/
Can serve with sliced smoked duck to make it more substantial. It also tastes nicer once the salad has had a chance to sit and develop the flavours.

Soup.

I was going to suggest pate. Chicken liver pate is simple and quick.

Other things, melon and parma ham.

Soup, but a light one, maybe courgette.

I was also going to suggest ham and melon and/or salad.
If you want something a bit more exciting then tarts e.g. individual quiches, red pepper tartlets or similar which could be warmed up later

You could do a variety of tiny portions in espresso cups
