Christmas Cake Gin?

We have half a christmas cake left that isn't going to be eaten. Do you think I could infuse some in to Gin?

I dont think the cakey element would make great gin but maybe worth a try. Otherwise what about mixing it with vanilla icecream or making truffles?

Or keep til Easter and repackage it as Simnel cake. Good fruit cske should last months so no hurry to eat it.
