Dead yeast

I tried to make a batch of bread using some old dried yeast.

It hasn't risen at all.

I've just tested the yeast & it seems to be dead.

Is there any way of salvaging the dough or should I chuck it away?

You could make flatbreads

Yeah, that's what I've done - rolled out balls of dough as thin as I could and baked in a hot oven. It's OK, not great!
