Slow cooker newbie

I bought my daughter a 1.5L slow cooker at Christmas to take back to uni next week. I’ve never used one so we’ve had a bit of a go together before she leaves. I’m an unimaginative cook at best and don’t particularly find it an enjoyable activity so the idea of chucking everything in then coming back a few hours later appealed!

Well blow me down, even I could make something rather tasty! Could you point me in the direction of some fail safe recipes or websites that you rate? What do you like making most? Getting quite excited now!

Lamb Mint sauce and new potatoes

You can buy packet sauce mixes for the slow cooker

FB page "slow cooked wonders" is good for advice, rather than recipes.

There's a web page that gives conversion times from oven/hob to SC that could be useful.

I'd get her some tupperware-type containers from a pound shop - they can be re-used but foil cannot.
