We have some friends coming round tomorrow evening for some drinks and food. Food wise we are doing a cheese and meat board, crisps and dips etc but I would like to do something sweet for pud also. Any ideas apart from a tin of roses?

Choc orange pavlova
Normal pav base, cream and topped with canned manadarins and segments of Terrys choc orange. Looks impressive and v easy!

Definitely tiramisu. Easy to make, easy to serve, everyone loves it.

Any sort of cheesecake.
Mix soft cream cheese with double cream, icing sugar and which ever flavour you fancy.
So easy

Some great ideas thank you.
Sadly DH doesn’t like tiramisu but I love it!

Mini "cheesecakes" done - digestive biscuit, topped with cream cheese or ricotta cheese mixed with a little icing sugar, black currant jam (holds shape best)

Go retro with fairy cakes and butterfly buns

Mini tartlets filled with fruit, cream, cream cheese mix, chocolate spread etc

Wee pots of choc pudding, syllabub, fruit fool and similar - u can go childlike/retro with these by also providing toppings people can choose, hundreds and thousands, choc vermicelli, gold & silver balls, marshmallows, edible confetti even posh ice cream wafers to dip

My most favourite ever, most recommended pudding is Nigella's honey and pine nut semifreddo.
