Panicking over fish pie

So I made a fish pie day before yesterday. I used fresh fish for the majority but I also chopped and put in some frozen bass fillets too.

I assembled it and put it in the freezer ready to cook today from frozen.

But I'm paranoid that the frozen basa might have partially defrosted in the warm white sauce and while waiting for the mash to cool down before freezing the whole thing.

Would have been in the warm sauce maybe 20 mins before going into freezer.

Will it be fine? Or should I panic make something else? Why did I put frozen fish in there!!

Refreezing fish is fine. Just make sure it’s cooked all the way through when you come to eat it.

I wouldn't eat that if at if the components were warm when you assembled it-potato, sauce?

Would have been in the warm sauce maybe 20 mins before going into freezer I've just re read properly, no it's not safe because of the frozen fish- it defrosted and then was re frozen without being cooked first which is no one rule of freezing /defrosting food. You might be ok but it's risk that not worth taking at this time of year is it?

Gah yes think I'll eat it another day and redo another from scratch today 😩

Yes I would. Fish defrosts really quickly so to be out for 20 mins and in sauce isn't something I'd eat and I'm not particularly fussy.
