How long would braised red cabbage keep in the fridge?

Just that, really - I like to make as much as I can ahead of Christmas Day, so I’ve made the braised red cabbage today. I was wondering if it would keep in the fridge, or if I’d be best to freeze it.

Freeze it. How long it will keep in the fridge depends on your recipe - more sugar or vinegar/alcohol will mean it lasts longer.

It was a reasonable slosh of vinegar, and a large-ish lump of sugar. I couldn’t be bothered measuring! Blush

You are right, and I think I will freeze it.

Thanks. Thanks

Freeze it. If I had braised red cabbage in the fridge I would have a spoon in my hand every time I opened the fridge door.

Christmas is a very hard time for us fridge pickers. Brandy butter, cold Christmas pudding, chestnut stuffing, a left over roastie or two.......

The struggle is real, @viques.

Reheat from frozen. It’s easier.

Frozen it is.

I knew I could rely on the wisdom of MN.
