Cherry tomato, basil leaf and cube of mozzarella on a cocktail stick. Or a veg tortellini instead of the mozzarella.
Devilled eggs (very 1970s but always popular)
Filo parcels stuffed with Boursin.
Cheese straws.
Watermelon and feta.
Celery sticks filled with cream cheese.
Stuffed dates.

" " cherry tomatoes "
" " olives "
" " cornichons "
(Vary the colour of the cheese to look inviting)

Quorn sausages on sticks
" " and pickled onions "

It's Christmas folks. I'm looking for something a bit more unusual ... and ideally seasonal. Grin

I posted this on another thread they are super tasty

I always make these and they go down very well - it's good because you can make them and leave in fridge then just oven before you need them.

Puff pastry (shop bought)
Cut into smallish squares
Egg wash and put into Yorkshire pudding/cake tray
Add spoonful of cranberry / onion chutney / olive tapeade / something with a strong flavour
Then add brie/ camembert / feta / something like that
Close up like a parcel you can alternate the shape and egg wash over the top
Bake for 10/15 mins until golden brown.

I also make sweet ones with spiced apple mix, brown sugar and serve with dollap of cream

They are so so easy and really tasty!

You could do cheese gougeres - but make sure your cheese is vegetarian!

MustardScreams · 18/12/2019 19:59

Dates split open and stuffed with a pecan half and blue cheese.

Roasted rounds of sweet potato (use a small biscuit cutter) topped with tzatziki, pistachios and sumac

Vol-au-vents! Aldi have Christmas tree shaped ones at the moment - tons of veggie fillings for those.

Parmesan biscuits with a chutney dip/topping

Griddled aubergine rolled around artichoke heart slices and goat cheese.

Slow roasted celeriac rounds/wedges with orange segments (slice them so there’s no pith/skin on them) a smidge of sour cream and mint.

Blinis topped with pesto, sour cream and pine nuts.

Garlic roasted mushrooms on sticks

Mary Berry did some blue cheese and fig fill canapes on her show with Kate and Wills. Looked easy to make and delicious.

MustardScreams · 18/12/2019 20:34

Hmmm. I was going to post a few ideas, but you were so rude to the first couple of people who replied that I don't think I'll bother. Shock

Top flat breads with caramelised onion chutney, figs and dolchelatte, bake and scatter some rocket over the top before slicing into fingers.

Blanch cauliflower florets then dip in flour, egg and a mixture of wholemeal breadcrumbs and crumbled Stilton, then bake.
