Meal inspiration without spice/tomatoes

I suffer on and off with gastritis (main symptom is nausea) and during a flare I need to be careful not to have tomatoes or spicy food as these make it worse! I never know what to cook at these times as most of what we would eat normally is pasta/rice/noddle dishes which have chilli/tomatoes in! Too much cheese isn’t great either. Please could you inspire me with some easy meals which don’t include these but aren’t bland?! 4 yo son hates potatoes too.... thanks!

Chicken Supreme with rice, make it with good home made chicken stock and it won't be bland, the same goes for chicken risotto, just add a little cheese if liked.

Chicken and mushroom or chicken and leek pie served with mixed green vegetables, the four year old needn't have potatoes that day!

Beef and winter vegetable casserole served with rice or pasta.

Toad in the Hole.

DH swears that tomato based sauces flare up his IBS so we make a lot with bbq sauce instead. I might make fajitas but instead of spice I'll use a bit of bbq sauce (pop a little ketchup in it if that's ok for you). I also think that baked chicken works really well. Tonight we're having chicken thighs in honey and lemon. I'm doing homemade wedges but it could easily be rice or whatever. Yesterday I did shepherds pie with lamb mince and swede mash.

Would the 4 year old eat fish cakes?

Pasta Primavera would work for you all, and isn't bland if you use an interesting selection of green vegetables.

Chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham is easy and good with a salad, or a fillet of salmon served on cous-cous is simple and tasty.
