Wraps! What to put in them?

I'm hoping for inspiration for fillings, as I've got two large packs to use up. So far I've thought of Chinese duck & lettuce and Caesar salad, but what else would work? What do you put in your wraps?

Tonight I had one with southern fried chicken mini fillets, peppers, tomato, lettuce, spring onions, coriander, guacamole, cheese and salsa. Food of the gods. (And yes I overfilled it and had to eat the remains with a fork - should have divided between two wraps)

Lolly34h · 11/12/2019 20:09

Nadiya Hussein's egg roll recipe they are amazing. I've started tweaking the fillings now and they are good with almost any filling

LobsterQuadrille2 · 11/12/2019 20:16

Fish fingers (halved lengthwise), capers and mayonnaise.

Geppili · 11/12/2019 22:34

This is such a great thread! Capers with fish fingers...omg..

PrivateSpidey · 11/12/2019 22:42

Yum!! I want to try everything on here.

I was going to say quesadillas as well - my DS likes a cheese, pesto and ham combo, or hot sauce instead of pesto.

I suddenly feel hungry...

FestiveBake · 11/12/2019 22:50

Feta and avocado
Carrot and hummus
Beetroot and Philly

Great for when the have gone a bit hard , cut them in to strips and deep fry them in almost smoking hot oil - bloody addictive ! great on their own or any dips / sauces

YukoandHiro · 12/12/2019 01:23

How old is your child/family? I put PB and grated apple, or cream cheese and grated carrot, in them to help smuggle veg into my toddler.

Also poached salmon mayo with chopped up cucumber. Plain old ham wraps goes down well too.

AdaColeman · 12/12/2019 08:35

No child here Yuko, only myself to please! But reading the fab ideas on this thread, there is something delicious for everyone!

SamBeckett I also like doing that and then making tortilla soup. www.foodandwine.com/blogs/6-killer-tortilla-soups

Place marking. I eat loads of wraps but clearly need to up my game!

Really good sausage, English mustard (and ketchup if you must) and those crispy onion things you get in a tiny.

Use just enough wrap to go round the sausage once - about 1/6th.

Low carb sausage roll!

Shannith · 12/12/2019 12:15

Tin not tiny and I don't even mean tin. Tub.

Quesadillas for me...I buy wraps just for these so I can have my favourite lunch!
Grated cheddar (or your favourite melting cheese), a drizzle of tomato ketchup, a sprinkle of garlicky italian seasoning, a few slices of wafer thin ham if you have them between two wraps, toasted in a dry frying pan until crisped and all melty inside.

I also do grated apple and cheese, cooked the same way but with no other ingredients. It's amazing... Thinly sliced pear and blue cheese is also divine.

AdaColeman · 12/12/2019 18:08

Wraps are proving to be a lot more interesting than I expected!

My DH does chicken warmed up in the pan then smothered in Nados Piri Piri Mayo (from the supermarket) with rocket. It’s delicious! He calls it ‘bang bang chicken’. Yum!

I used to have this every day in sixth form and still love it;

Lightly spread mayo on wrap. Fill with grated cheese and a tablespoon of pickle dolloped on it, and shredded lettuce on top of that.

REignbow · 13/12/2019 13:51

Left over chilli.....

Fill wrap with combo over: rice, lettuce, guacamole, salsa, chilli (vegi if wanted and cheese (vegan if you want) wrap and eat!

Fill with chill and beans. Cover with tinned (seasoned tomato’s’, cheese and bake. Serve with salad.
