Food for 25!

So it's DH's biggish birthday in December and he's decided that we should host a family lunch the day after his evening party.

If everyone comes there will be 26 of us 4 children, 2 teenagers and the rest adults.

I'd like to provide something hot that can be prepared in advance. Nothing too spicy (we like it some of the older generation don't)!

Any suggestions to make my life easy?!

Ps DH will be in charge of plenty of drinks.

A huge ham (can be boiled days before and roasted just before eating)
Baked potatoes
Salads or veg

This is my big numbers go-to meal. Most people like ham and it makes a great centrepiece. Salads and veg can be as simple or fancy as you can face. Veggies can have different potato toppings.

Last time I had a big gathering, I did a few different types of sausages (pork, vegetarian and chicken), herby mash and onion gravy. Served with apple sauce, tomato sauce and mustard. Sausages were cooked in the oven, mash and gravy done on the hob.

I’ve also done baked lamb meatballs (falafel for veggies) served with harissa couscous, warm flatbreads and Greek yogurt.

These are all great ideas, thank you.
