Can I eat this soup?

Looking for some help from wise mumsnetters!

I made veg & lentil soup yesterday (with veg stock), but left it out in the pot with the lid on overnight. I put it in a closed tub in the fridge this afternoon but I'm wondering if it will be ok to eat tomorrow, in particular to give to my baby?

Personally, I'd boil it to buggery & then only give to adults & pets.

It may well be OK, but I wouldn't risk giving it to a baby.

With no meat or dairy I think it would be fine

It would be absolutely fine, what's in it that could possibly go off overnight? There's no meat or dairy etc.

It’s fine! I’m vegan and do it all the time.. You can do it with meat soups too it’s a household staple in winter of my parents!
