Please help oh wise MNers.

I'm looking for some hearty warming tasty meals for dinner to feed two people. It's freezing, lashing and generally miserable here so dinner to comfort and warm. Don't wanna go with the basic of stew so looking for something different and tasty.

Beef goulash? I've cooked this recipe a few times and it hits the spot on days like this.

Chorizo and lentil stew

Fry off an onion, as much garlic as you like, 1 chilli
Then add Chorizo to fry off
Add 1/2 pint chicken stock, Tin of chopped tomatoes, 1 tablespoon Tomato purée, 1 small glass of red wine, 2 tea spoons paprika, black pepper
Let that simmer

Cook lentils as per the packet says. Once they are cooked, drain and stir in too the mix above And Serve with crusty bread and a glass of red

Sausage, mushroom and red wine casserole with mash.

Dry fry minced lamb, drain off fat . Add 1 chopped leek . Add lamb or chicken stock and a little tomato purée . Cover with sliced potatoes. Add tinfoil and bake on moderate for 45 m . Add just a little grated cheese or make a cheese sauce . Remove foil pour over and bake 15 m more .

This is the best!! I add a lot more herbs and garlic. Also I dont cook the thigh in the pot I cook the separately so they crispy

Ooh these are brilliant. Keep them coming. I'm stocking up for winter

Minced beef cobbler. Finely dice and fry an onion, then add a packet of mince, sprinkle over a tablespoon of plain flour and brown the meat. Pour stock over it (think I normally do 3 oxo cubes as needs lots of gravy) and leave to simmer and thicken up. Then make up a packet of Aunt Bessie dumpling mix- they work perfectly every time. Drop the dumplings into the mince and put in the oven for about 20-30 mins. Is amazing served with carrots and peas.

Can’t go wrong with a sausage and bean casserole! Throw in some dumplings too oooft 😍

Sausage and gnocchi tray bake:

Chop up some peppers, red onion, cherry tomatoes and garlic, Chuck in a large roasting tin with a bag of gnocchi, season, add some dried mixed herbs and a couple of sprays of spray oil. Toss together and top with chipolata sausages. Bake for approx 40 mins turning half way.

cook red onion.peppers.chorizo,tomatos.garlic in a pan.soften.add some red pesto and tinned tomatos or pastata,or dolmion jar for more concentrated sauce.this is then a gorgeous base sauce for: adding chicken to.having on toast or jacket potato or with rice. sitring through pasta with some toasted pine nuts and some mozerla for a lovely pasta bake.then cook in oven with cheese on top.
